Despite the fact that the band members, Bogdan “Bodo” Tabarca (drums), Dimitrie Cristian Milea (bass), and Vlad Briciu (piano & synths), have previously collaborated in other musical contexts, the “JazzQuarters Trio” project represents a fresh incarnation of the formula, with an original repertoire composed or adapted in a personal artistic manner. The ensemble’s style is situated at the sonic confluence of multiple spheres of musical influence: from bebop-like phrasing and the frenzy of 1970s fusion music, to rhythms rooted in progressive origins and the modern timbre of neo-soul.
Thus, the collective vision of the project consists of achieving a true symbiosis; although our music lies within a spectrum, for us, contrast is convergence.
